Well, since Vick is guaranteed $3 million on I think day three of the 2013 NFL "year", and $15.5 (or $16.5) million total next year, I'm pretty sure he'll be gone!

I say replace them with "lost eagle" and "RH" since they were the first two folks to comment on the story. It can't be any worse, they obviously care somewhat about football since they clicked the story. You guys up for it? I'm sure you can mismanage the clock, your timeouts and your running game just as bad as Reid does. You might even be better.

My 97 year-old grandmother would be a better coach than FAT ANDY. Let me know if you want me to forward her resume.

I like your idea oneway but I'm looking for something a little more long-term. Do you have an 85 year old aunt?

You could replace Reid and Vick with a monkey and a baked potato. I will let you figure out which is which.

Reading this sports page is like listening to mike list-anelli on the radio...all fluff and no substance...the sports reporting in this town is non-existent...shouldn't reporters report and readers read?

Mephisto, I have a fool-proof system. I'd hire Andy as an assistant and ask him who he wants to draft. I'd do the opposite and be a hero.

Now we know who was the real brains behind the winning seasons.....Jim Johnson. Since he's gone, this team is gone! RIP, Jim.

Larry Byrd, your monkey comment is absolutely out of line and goes to show that you are purely racist. Are these comments humorous? Are they from someone who is educated? Or are they from a person with no morals walking a dead end street. You decide!

About this blog
Rich Hofmann arrived at the Daily News in 1980 for a job whose status was officially designated as "full-time, temporary." A senior at Penn at the time, he was hired to fill in on the copy desk during a staff illness. The notion of him covering the Eagles or being a columnist did not exist in anyone's imagination. It was supposed to be six weeks and out, but he never left. It is only one of the reasons why so many people have concerns about him as a potential house guest. Rich has blogged the postseasons of the Flyers and Eagles. E-mail Rich at hofmanr@phillynews.com Reach Rich at hofmanr@phillynews.com.
