I won't be surprised if the final score to game 4 is...
    Boston: 10
    Flyers: 0

they Flyers are finished because they have nothing left, pronger has had enough time off, its time to pull the tampon out and get on the ice. seems JVR is the only player out there playing with a sense of urgency.

Not with this combination of insecure little brother goaltending, irresponsible coaching/handling of the goaltenders, and wilted leadership by the captain.

You know when Ed Snider has that scowl on, it's over.

Ed is furious and I predict Lav's in close to done. Forget about last year. As I've been saying - Ed has fired many far closer to him personally and amongst the most important players to ever play here or coach or manage here (Jay, Bob, Billy, Fred, Cagey, Homer, etc.........) Lav's has blown the goalie situation and why do you need a time-out 1 minute into the game - that's self emasculation.........what Peter, they weren't prepared?? Whose fault is that??

They are finished because they don't have a real goalie, Pronger got old and injured, the captain is weak and they don't have an acceptable goalie.

I reluctantly hate to admit it Sam, but you're right. A loss tomorrow night will put us out of our misery. If I even saw a "glimmer" of hope, I'd be yelling the loudest, but after the last display of dismal "playoff hockey", it ain't gonna happen. Would love nothing better than the Flyboys to prove me wrong, but this team is nothing like last year, and Tim Thomas is one good goalie.

No goalie, passive captain, heartless team, aging defense. Time to rebuild around the future of this team- JVR & Giroux.

The nightmare of Ed Snider continues. He should go back to Hanover and stick to baking pretzels.

Gotta put this on Paul Holmgren & Lavy....they knew at the trade deadline they were very shaky in goal and they just rolled the diced and hoped for the best....obviously this was an extremely poor choice

Losers. The Flyers are toast. Time to plan the off season travel arrangements and clean out the lockers.

Ed Snider has FAILED as the Owner of the Flyers. To have ZERO Cups in 36 years is a complete disgrace. Every year, the Flyers fail in one key area--usually goaltending. But, also, over the years they've had poor shooters-guys who work hard and generate scoring chances, but fail to light the lamp.

They've also failed to have real good puck rushing defensemen and d-men with big shots. This year's team?? Totally overrated in terms of this great "depth" of lines. Still too many guys not making a big difference. And, Carter and Richards are good players, not great players. And Pronger is past his prime. They are simply not as good as we were led to believe. Once again, Ed Snider fails to put the right people in place to bring in the right talent necessary to finally win a championship. In this market, with this fan-base, that is inexcusable. I wish he'd get out. So many bad decisions under his watch. And a complete lack of learning from so many previous blunders.

So, go after Bryzgalov or Vokoun?

Bryzgalov got swept on a team that shouldn't have been swept. Vokoun would cost too much, unless it's a trade for Carter. Then, by all means.

Rich Hofmann arrived at the Daily News in 1980 for a job whose status was officially designated as "full-time, temporary." A senior at Penn at the time, he was hired to fill in on the copy desk during a staff illness. The notion of him covering the Eagles or being a columnist did not exist in anyone's imagination. It was supposed to be six weeks and out, but he never left. It is only one of the reasons why so many people have concerns about him as a potential house guest.
