Overtime in Cincinnati.

Not exactly like April in Paris, if you know what I mean.

What a disaster. What an absolute disaster.  This final score -- Bengals 13, Eagles 13 -- is more than a terrible result. It is the end. If you can find a way for the Eagles to get out of this mess now, you have better eyes than I do.

It wasn't supposed to be like this, of course. The Eagles were nearly double-digit favorites coming into this game against a Bengals team that had won only once all season. This was supposed to be the game where they played well and built momentum for their playoff push. This was the plan.

Instead, they came out and played a dreadful offensive first half. Quarterback Donovan McNabb was erratic and had four turnovers for the day, three interceptions and a fumble. There were a bunch of dropped balls, too. It was just a terrible offensive game in a huge spot -- long-yardage, short-yardage, the whole thing.

Watching it play out really did have a slow-motion, nine-car pileup look to it. For the longest time at the end, you never really thought the Eagles might win the game. The only question was if they would lose it. But with 7 seconds left, the Bengals' Shayne Graham missed a 47-yard field goal that would have won it, wide right. Oh, happy day.

It all comes down to Lurie. He is ultimately responsible. He's been cheaping us out of contention for years. He trades out of the first round to avoid paying first round money. He wouldn't pay T.O. He's not interested in winning unless it comes cheap and in this league it doesn't. What did he pay for the franchise? What's it worth now? He's a successful bean counter but will never deliver a winner to you, the fans, unless its by accident.

In some parallel universe AR may be a good in-game coach/GM, and 5 maybe that super man QB we all would like to believe is leading the IGS...but in this world...noooooooooope....i would not know where to begin in pointing out their deficiencies...clearly the O has no confidence in anything...and the D...if the Bungles played them every week with Fitzgerald, we would be able to make a movie: " Harvard goes to Honolulu"...69% completion???UGH!!...now we are stuck with a new QB who was picked to fit AR's system(?)...oh Lord help us!!...Plz Mr. Lurie...eat AR's contract and go after Spags...after 10 years it's time to run AR and his playmates, including the inscrubable Jim Johnson....OUT OF TOWN!!!...OH HIGHER POWER THANK YOU SOOO MUCH FOR THE PHIGHTINS....plz forgive me for ever doubting them....every time i think of AR i realize how great Uncle Charlie really is...

Laurie better realize his team is rapidly becoming a joke. I know Andy has been a good coach for this team over the years, but his "eight year life cycle for a head coach" has been up for a couple years now. Don, it's been real, good luck, Chicago is going to be warmer than Philly will be this time next year. Maybe Don will realize in addtition to ties being allowed in the NFL (who knew?), voting is fun, and he really has a decent crew of recievers, he can look at tape and realise you don't have to throw the ball 100 mph to every reciever. This stinks, Later

The party's over. Out with bad garbage. This team is garbage. Starting at the top. AR mMUST MUST Go. Donovan is past his time and has no creativity to be able to play for a playoff contender. Which they are NOT.

I feel for the defense... constantly putting the offense in a position to do something and then they can't convert 2nd and 1s and 3rd and 1s. Reid seems to take the ball out of Donovan's hands in clutch situations continuously. Instead of playing for the tie at the end, he should given the ball to McNabb, made him earn his pay and find a way to get that yard. Instead, Reid decided McNabb can't do it. And I can't believe that, after nearly a decade together, Reid and McNabb can't put together no-huddle offenses. Having said all of that, the Eagles are still only half a game out of a playoff spot, so I'm not giving up on them. These days, you only need to get into the playoffs on some sort of roll and anything can happen. It can still happen.

It's getting late and I am an old geizer. Time to go to bed and hope that I don't have nightmares about the Eagles offense. I've been an Eagle fan for as long as I can remember, but I'm seriously thinking about looking in another direction. Now wait before you jump all over me about being a loyal fan. If you're honest, you've got to admit the Eagles aren't fun to watch anymore. Many of you have accurately portrayed our beloved birds as predictable and at other times their playcalling downright confusing and stupid. When teams don't have talent, that's one thing, but to lose games and play to a tie against a very poor Cincy team then you have serious problems. I am so glad that I have the Sunday Ticket where I can actually go and watch some entertaining, well-played football games. The Eagles just aren't giving their fans their money's worth. I was born and raised in Philly and I love our teams, even the bad ones, but the product that Laurie, Reid, and McNabb are putting on the field is a disgrace. Go Steelers!! Hey, didn't the Eagles beat them this season? How did that happen. The Steelers must have forgotten who they were playing that day. Have a good night everyone. Oh, and don't forget, the Ravens have a much better defense than the Bengals. Ouch!!!

This team has the demeanor of its HC and QB - there is no sense of urgency, and these guys play with very little emotion. No fire or no heart. Its disgusting. How can B Dawk sit by and let this go on without getting in 5's or somebody else's face? Where is the veteran leadership on this team? McNabb stunk today, but if it weren't for Reid, all of our WR's with the exception of Jackson would be playing Arena football. We want to throw the ball 50 times a game, but we don't value WRs. We all know Reid needs to go, but Lurie will not fire him with three years to go on his contract. And Gold, the real Three Stoges running the show are Reid, Lurie, and Banner... McNabb is just a puppet in this circus!

Pathetic. Embarrassing. Andy lost me back in the New Orleans playoff game with his 4th down punt. Yes, I remember the Joe Kuharick and the Rich Kotite days, but I can't take it any more. I hate this coach's inability to make game day adjustments to bad game plans and I hate the GM's ineptitude year after year. Enough already!

Hey, this posting comments stuff is very therapudic. I'm almost breathing again after watching four hours of futility - Donovan pretending to be a pro QB and Reid masquerading as a head football coach. What exactally is Reid holding in his hands? It might as well be the Phillies starting lineup. At least they are winners!! But seriously, I've been an Eagle fan for a very long time. I was around the last time the Eagles were Champions of the NFL. That was waaaaaay back in 1960, the year I graduated from Pennsbury High School. Hmmmm, I'm coming up on my 50th High School reunion. That was a looooong time ago. We sure could use Norm Van Brocklin at QB and Buck Shaw at head coach. Ahhhh, those were the days my friend.

Andy has completely lost this team. The players don't believe they can win. The Rookie played inspired football and the defense had its moments, but offensively, it was offensive. If Lurie doesn't make a move, he's going to start losing money. Therefore, I anticipate Reid will (forcibly)step down at the end of year. The most die-hard Eagles fans finally see that Reid is not an NFL head coach. At times, the Eagles resemble a poorly-coached high school team. It was obvious that the season ended last week when we were totally outclassed by the Giants. Upon reflection, I'm grateful for the brief reprieve from the NFC East basement and the Superbowl appearance, but it was a mirage and Andy's gotta go. Thanks, Andy and GOODBYE! Come back and visit sometime.

Donovan didn't play a good game but this game is once again on Reid.....who calls 58 passing plays(3 to westbrook) Vs 14 runs, especially when you have Westbrook as your running back!!! Its hard to succeed as a QB when the defense knows you are just going to throw and throw and throw. I think the Eagles need an Obama, bc its time for Change.

Yeah, I saw the smile on Donovan's face during the game. Pathetic!! And TV camera also caught Dandy Andy cracking a smile, although I didn't have a clue why he would have been smiling. Double Pathetic!! It's like these two are just showing up for the games to collect their paychecks. We need leadership at QB and coaching that love the game and have a burning passion to win the game. When I watch Brett Farve, or Peyton Manning, I see leadership that loves playing football and hates losing games. Donovan is no Brett Farve. As for Andy, the more he coaches the Eagles the worse they are becoming. I once thought that Richie Kottie was the worst Eagle coach ever. Believe it or not Andy is the new worst coach ever. As long as he is at the helm we will sit back and watch terrible, losing, and tie game football. And we have so much talent and potential. Incredible!!!

Hey Andy...the Redksins (who ran it down the Eagles throats) just drove on their first possession for a touchdown against the cowboys with 5 runs and 3 passes. They averaged 5.8 yards per rush and on 4th and one from the 11 gained 8 yards running the ball. Fire Reid Now!!!

I think we all should tell Lurie how we feel about getting a new coach here. We should write letters, email, call his office and if even we have to stand outside the nova complex and big signs that say fire Andy reid. We can do this ITS TIME FOR CHANGE . People lets do this. we have to show Lurie that we will not take this any more. I say we hit him where it hurts. his pocket. don't buy and more tickets hats shirts anything that has the eagles logo on it and then we will see happens.

super bowl champs
As a lifetime Giants fan i have to say it's been great watching the Eagles completely implode this season! Isn't this the same Eagles team that was picked to represent the NFC in the Super Bowl by S.I.? Ha Ha that joke was funny in late August and its even funnier now! The thing is, i can't believe Eagles fans actually drank the Kool Aid on that one! This team has been steadily declining since 2005 and its flaws have been apparent for years now (boring, predictable play calling, small running backs, lack of big play reciever, fat & out of shape QB, old secondary, mediocre linebackers, smallish defensive line) they feasted for a good 4 years or so on the rest of the NFC East being weak but those days are long gone my friends. The Eagles are now an old relic ready for the junk yard. Watching the Giants run over, around and through the Eagles "defense" must have been humiliating for Eagles fans who can't stomach the fact that the Giants are the Super Bowl champions and cruising to a repeat while the Eagles again finish in 4th place! I love the comments i hear that Eli sucks & McFlabb is much better but you know what? Eli directed the winning drive in the Super Bowl gainst the only 18-0 team in history and threw the winning TD pass with 35 seconds left while McFlabb was puking up his guts in the huddle in the 4th against an inferior Patriots team because he couldn't handle the pressure or was out of shape. I bet 2004 seems a long time ago doesn't it?

Living in Orlando, I didn't get to see the game (thank God!) But from looking at the "highlights" of the game, it did appear to me that McNabb was smiling and laughing and joking around with the Bengals after the game was over. This makes me sick to my stomach. Why should I (or anyone else) care if the Eagles win or lose when the starting QB doesn't? He even said in the post-game press conference that he didn't think there were any ties in the NFL!! By the way, did you see the commentary on FOXsports.com this morning where Jason Whitlock said that Andy Reid was the worst coach in the NFL?! I don't know if I would go that far, but he is bad and needs to go and take his laughing boy QB with him. To paraphrase Whitlock "How many (Sunday night) games are you going to lose this year because you can't convert 4th and 1? You throw on every down but decide to run when the game is on the line". Pathetic. Just pathetic.

AR is personally accountable for a team that's .500 since 2004. He's making the same mistakes week after week, year after year. Enough is enough - let McNabb have success on a team that lets him play to his strengths and let us move on. It might not be better right away, but at least the potential to improve will be there. 10 years is an eternity in the NFL - he's had his chance.

I am not, now will I ever be a head football coach. I don't know anything about blocking schemes. I don't know a whole lot about passing routes. And I don't have a clue about x's and o's but I'm almost positive I could have coached the Eagles to victory today. When the clock ran out on the Eagles, I turned to my wife and said, "Honey, I've just wasted four hours of my life." She didn't say a word. Defense did play well though. During the off season, then training camp, both franchise and local media painted a much different picture to what we have at present. Birds were overated from the start, but still a legit play-off team. Westbrook is not healthy, and the team has tried to downplay the importance of Shawn Andrews to the offense, but what has come to fruition, long before this season, is the inconsistency of 5, and the inability for proper offensive play calling. Is it time fr AR to leave? My question is to be replaced by who? Martz? Gruden? Notre Dame Dude? And when are we going to see Kolb in real game scenerios?

The Eagles would benefit by firing Andy Reid mid-season. Reid would never be willing to test his developing players, including Celek, Laws, and most importantly, Kolb. Yet, it is clear that Reid has failed miserably as a General Manager, and the next GM will have no know who his a player and who is a sham (see the entry under Lorenzo Booker). Despite his great weakness as a gameday coach, Reid was at one time a very strong coach. For the past several years, he has become increasingly stale and seemingly disinterested. I have to believe that had he taken a leave of absence when his sons had their horrible crash, he might have saved his career. Now, he is worse than useless to his team. I fail to see how Lurie is at fault here; however, if he continues to stick with Reid, he deserves equal disdain.

Play calling and then not blocking is a major reason this team sucks. Andy must be fired and they must start Kolb very soon to allow them time to evaluate him. Getting younger and faster on the O line with two new D defensive backs and a new D coach plus a new offensive coach who can manage time are their needs. They are a disgrace to Phila. The major TV outlets should let them die pathetically and not televise them nationally. They continue to dis the fans and have now become a joke to even the tepid announcers.

Honestly, by halftime I was rooting for the Bengals. What a terrible display by the Birds' coaching staff as well as their starting QB. Once again, the Eagles began a game unprepared to play. This time it was against a 1-8 opponent. It is time for the hierarchy of this franchise to evaluate exactly where this team is going. It is clearly in the wrong direction. How can they continually arrive at these games unprepared to play. After awhile it seems that Coach Andy's refrain that it is his fault is exactly correct. It IS his fault. Andy should go! Take #5 with him. Could we talk Bill Cower out of retirement? However, I don't think Bill will go along with dropping out of the first round of the draft to preserve the "precious salary cap" prestige that Joe Banner seems so fond of. After 10 years of Andy's regime, I ask you how many super bowls have we won? Does it look any brighter now than last year of the year before? Is there any real reason to believe that next year will produce a winner? It is time to move on!

Next year's Coors commercial -- Fans ask why their beer is warm, and Andy Reid responds at the podium, "I should have done a better job of preparation." Next year's first round pick should be Rodney Landers, the senior QB at James Madison. He is both a terrific runner and passer, and he wins week in and week out (just ask Villanova fans). And he has a Philadelphia connection -- his dad played running back for Northeast. I'd keep McNabb for a year or two for transition, but it will be clear that his days are numbered.

And if I have to hear Eskin and those other idiots say they do not need a big time reciever once more I am going to flip out. Their recievers blow. Kolb will be the starter next week. Reid has no choice now. If the Eagles don't win the Super Bowl, Reid will be fired, and Reid knows this. McNabb has been unable to start games strong, and today he threw three interceptions. At least putting Kolb in would give Eagles' fans a reason to watch the rest of the games this season.

He had the audacity to say after the game that they have to focus on the positives. Andy and Donavan are insulting the intelligence of the Philly fans, and I might add that we as Philly fans have tremendous sports intelligence. We just want our teams to do well. It is going on 48 years for the Eagles. Every team in our division has multiple Super Bowl wins and we have none. It will stay that way too. ANDY REID must go!!!

Donovan McNasty has to go along with his sidekick Andy Reid. McNasty is finished in Philly. Send him packin' back to Chicago. Worst imitation of a professional football team I've seen ever.

I'm still on my Phillies "high" and have found other, better things to do on Sundays. Why should I subject myself to Groundhog Day week after week? The rest of you should do the same as it will do you good. I'm not watching another Eagles game under Reid's watch. That's the only way to send Jeffrey a message, through his wallet.

Not to sound, you know, overly optimistic, but they could be only a game, or game and a half out of a playoff spot at the end of the day. So, don't stick a fork in them yet Rich. I recall the Phillies losing 2 out of 3 to the Nats in early September and things looked bleak. Time for the Eags to exact some revenge on their conference foes.

Saw a look on Andy Reid's face during the Giants game that confirmed for me that he's done. Good guy, but it's time. As for #5, what kind of support has he really had? Develop a power running game with a real fullback that can catch. BWest is approaching his twilight. Lots of drafting needs.

the G.O.A.T.
This team is a disaster!I gotta agree, Reid must go!He's done a horrible job. starting with the fullback position. he took away from our run D with the klecko move. klecko can not play fullback! rather than keeping jason davis and tony hunt( a good short yardage tandem)and letting them develop. The whole recevier rotation deal isnt letting any or the receviers settle.Early in the season The tandem of jackson, baskett , lewis/avant worked out pretty well! Does he not realize that curtis and brown have been taking catches away from the guys that were making plays!Eagles cant run the ball because there is nowhere to run, the line cant stop the hole from collapsing before B-west can get there. If the defense could protect a lead maybe we would be 8-1-1.Eagles linbackers cant cover no matter how many "Teeks" A.R.(and jim johnson) can come up with! How many probowlers do we need in our secondary to stop the pass! The Coaching staff has done a poor job.I like Andy because he doesn't throw his players and coaches under the bus! he takes full responsability as he should and he should be fired. hes done all he's gonna do in philly!

Let's not run McNabb out of town just yet! He's still a probowl caliber QB. It's Reid that has not given him the supporting cast to be successful. Reid should have his GM title stripped to begin with. He drafted Kolb instead of a player that can help us now he thought any average Joe could walk onto the field and return punts and kicks. On top of that he thought a defensive lineman could be a fullback. And yes you do need a fullback to win in this leauge especially since your star is a mere 5'6 and 160lbs. Reid's been in the league long enough to know that this isnt college and you cant take a guy thats been playing a position for 5 years and expect him to go onto the other side of the ball and be able to help you right away. It's a weakness that other teams drool at. Reid focus on coaching and even though thats suspect I'll give you the benefit of a doubt since you have taken us to a super bowl but please stop assuming average players can step it up when thats what they are. McNabb needs help and you're not giving it to him in any fashion of the game.

Absolutely Horrible! I have defended Donovan for the last time. He has had chance after chance to pull it together and he has failed. It is time for an overall change in our Offensive outlook. Reid has never been great but now he isn't even average. He MUST leave for this franchise to reawaken. His "I must do a better job" mantra is old and tired. He does nothing to inspire his football team or the fans. Goodbye Andy! Thanks for the memories.

Obviously, Reid has lost this football team. If anyone on this club comes out tomorrow and says this is a good football team, they may need to commit me to a looney bin. Even the most dependable player on the team, the punter, sucked it today. I don't think it's a hasty decision to think that Reid must go. He managed to hang himself with all the rope he was allowed. Give the ball to Kolb, and let's see what he can do.

It is clear that AR's offense and playbook is done. Too bad that the defense has to put up with the offense that is on the field. Also, McNabb is now clearly on the downhill...can't run, can't throw accurately, and his leadership is in doubt. I would not be disappointed to make a change to a more youthful team and give them a chance to log some real game time to prep for next year.

Dear fellow eagles fans, sometimes i think that you are all ten years old...I only say this because with all the McNabb/ Reid insults, it is clear to me that none of you were in Philly when those two men turned this football team into an elite squad. non of you were in philly the years before TO when all we had was McNabb winning games irrelivant Trash and Stinkston. Clearly, you where not in Philadelphia when McNabb helped us overtake the Giants for division supremecy, or big playoff wins against the bucks, McNabb massive 4th quarter against the Packers in a playoff game.... For all who were not in Philadelphia for the last ten years, I am sorry you missed McNabb dominate the NFL and excite a city like never before. IN THE END, I AGREE, IT IS TIME TO MOVE ON FROM REID AND MCNABB, BUT IF YOU UNDERSTAND ANYTHING ABOUT FOOTBALL OR MY CITY OF PHILADELPHIA, YOU WILL RECOGNIZE THE HERO STATUS THAT MCNABB HAS EARNED IN THIS TOWN. FINE TO SEND HIM ON HIS WAY, BUT DO SO RESPECTFULLY AND THANKFULLY, NONE OF THIS MCFLABB BS. ANYWAY, I AM CONVINCED THAT ALL YOU MCNABB HATERS ARE FROM JERSEY OR THE BURBS. GO ROOT FOR THE JETS.

They should have given Cincy the ball in OT and taken the wind. And I agree with stoky to go for it on 4th and 1. A tie is a loss as far as the standings go. But look at the schedule and don't give up. The Iggs can win 5 of 6 or 6 of 6 and have a shot at the playoffs.

I fear I am coming close to feeling the need to join the boorish throng of "fans" who are calling for the end to the Regime. This is the end, my friends. How eerie is the parallel to 1997, when the Eagles last played to a tie, in Baltimore, on their way to a 6-9-1 mark and a 3-13 1998 season that marked the end of one era, and the beginning of this era? Is that what we have to look forward to in 2009? Sadly, most likely. But Reid isn't going anywhere anyway, until minimum January 2010, so that part of this discussion is moot.

How's is that possible in the NFL? Didn't college football put in a system that's exciting and decides a winner. Why does this still happen? Season over. Lots more free time to contemplate Black Christmas and the unemployment line. At least the Iggles will be getting paid.

Stop going to the games? That's the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard. I was an Eagles fan before Lurie got here and I'll be a fan long after he's gone. If you want to quit on the team because of the boneheaded play-calling or absentee ownership, that's fine. Please be my guest. As for me and mine, we'll continue going to the games and cheering our voices raw just like we have since my father first bought season tickets in 1966.

Once again, thank you Phillies! Roughly 96 days until pitchers and catchers report.

Rant all you want. The only way to get Jeffie's attention is to stop going to the games and stop buying the merchandise. But next home game the stadium will be full and the cash register will be ringing and everyone will be back here ranting. The team stinks - let them know by closing up your wallet

After watching the Eagles tie an 1 and 8 team today, it's seems very appropriate that these "turkeys" are playing on Thanksgiving Day.

58 passes and 16 runs against a team that was 1-8 going into today's game. What an absolute wire hanger abortion this team is. It's like Reid is daring Lurie to fire him at this point. Lurie almost has to make a change now, doesn't he, or is it just me who's thinking like this?

since my last comment wasn't placed, ill just say that until people stop paying $150-$250 to watch this circus, no changes will be made. McNabb is soft with no leadership and Andy Reid was starving for something other than a win in OT today.

For the First time Andy Reid had a face of fustration. Why? Because the players and fan are giving him the same face back!!

For the second week in a row, in a critical part of the game when time is most important, McNabb ends up taking a delay of game penalty. 10 yr veterans are supposed to have a better command of time management, and of their team. Anyone see Matt Cassel lead his team down the field for a score at the end of both halves the other night? This loss is all on 5's poor play, and AR's poor play calling and bad coaching. How the hell does a team come out so unprepared to play week after week!? That is on the coach, and the coach needs to pay the price for that. I say, since McNabb is gone after this year, that they play Kolb and see what we have with him, or if we need to draft another QB.

I would never want to make apologies or excuses for McNabb, whom I've always thought was a mediocre QB, but it seemed to me that last Monday near the end he was hit hard and on the next play seemed to wince and grab his chest before the ball was intercepted. I was surprised that the network broadcast didn't pick it up, not that they ever seem to watch the game, and instead of replaying it got caught up in some type of nonsense. Maybe it will turn out after the season that McNabb did hurt his chest again, but if he did and it's causing him to suck this bad, he should be off the field. One can play thru pain, but should not play thru inability. (P.S. to see just how bad the Eagles are, look at what the Bears had done to them today by the Packers who haven't beaten them in GB since 2003)

Boy, I have always apprreciated what Reid and McNabb have done--overall. They have had a ton of success, but this is the first tinme ever I felt like it might be a time for fresh scenery for everyone. Draft a run-stopping DT and/or get some ace pass-rushers (see: NY Giants), go get a star WR (that is not insane)...

To reply to Montymiller. I know you're frustrated, but you're not thinking right. The smartest man on the coaching staff is Jim Johnson. To get rid of him would be a super stupid move. Other than that, it's time for Mc Flabb to go. Better to trade him a year too soon, than a year too late. There are others too keep him company on his way out. He shouldn't go alone .

It's frustrating to watch this Eagles team, especially on the offensive side of the ball. Despite previous game problems with running the football in short yardage situations, the Eagles haven't made any apparent changes to bring them success. In face, they don't try to run the ball, deciding to pass(and rather unsuccessfully) when a run is needed. McNabb has also been very erratic all season, and his 4 turnovers today was the biggest factor in losing this game. I'm for a quarterback change and any other personnel changes that someone analyzing the game film should see who isn't performing. If the coaches don't change, then it's time to replace them too.

What has happened to this franchise? I can't believe what I'm seeing - we have FAR too much talent for this to happen. Reid must be held accountable, which means he has to be replaced. Kolb will suffer the same fate as DMac, and it looks to me that #5 has let the frustration ruin his play. All around a total shame.....

What can you expect from a team that lost to the Bears, who today lost for the first time in years in Green Bay whenn the Packers ran them off the field and gutted them. They accomplished what the Eagles could not do, running TDs, and made Kyle O. look like Goldie Locks and not the second coming of Favre that he looked like against the Eagles. A good indication of how low the Eagles have fallen. Start the rebuilding NOW!

OH My God. McNabb just said in his press conference that he didn't know there were ties in the NFL. Shocking, just shocking.

who are you kidding? the season died a long time ago and even if today would have turned out differently there are many better teams with a solid defenses and coaches that do not look at the run with disdain ahead of them in the playoff race. i don't want to hear anymore about gold standards or how good they are from the players. they stink and that is the bottom line.

Reid is such a fool - why did he call a time out at 2:08 to go in OT - does he not know there is a two minute warning in OT???? You will never win with a coach who is behind the game - instead of anticipating - or dictating like the Giants do - he is always playing catch up he is always behind. Fire Reid draft a 350 lb DT to help stuff the run and get Spags back down here to coach. ANd trade 5 to the Vikings.

Clearly the WORST game of football I have ever witnessed. McNabb should have been pulled at the half. My daugter would have had a better completeion record than that "f"ing joke of a performance our vaunted multi-million dollar QB turned in. Hey Andy, what do you guys think you'll do against a REAL football team?

I can't agree with Rich more. The offense was dreadful. Questionable play callings. Can't covert 3rd & 1. Yes, Tie is better than "L" and that's the only bright spot after today's game.

last week it was mostly Andy's fault. This week i have to go with mostly Donovan. He looked like a rookie QB, and he will never be able to see the whole field in his career. Andy won't fool anyone with his 2-3 "trick plays" (the flea flicker come on it's not 4-4 touch football with your uncles.) But Donovan just plain sucks now.

Big Red has to go....when are you and your fellow writers going to say what needs to be said? This game is a microcosm of Reid's inability to make in-game adjustments. Also how can you not feed Westbrook the ball? If The difference between Max-Jean Stiff rock and Andrews that big? How do we not run the ball on any 3rd and 1's but last week 3rd and 3 and 4th and 1 for our life against the Giants front 7 we are running. Reid has lost his nerve. Everything he touches turns to poop. I am out with Reid. It is time for a change. I saw the Bengals fans took out an ad on a billboard by there stadium. Who is with me? My email is my name @ gmail.com. Let's get it started......Reid must GOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!And take LJ and Jim Johnson with you....

wow, living in upstate ny i don't get to see them too often on tv (i guess i'm lucky). that was the worst performance by a supposed "good" team i think i've ever seen. AR and 5 should be put in a boat together and shipped down surekill.... wait, AR's press conf is starting....what? AR takes full responsibility.... AR has to put the players in better position... AR is an idiot...and 5 sucks
About Rich Hofmann
Rich Hofmann arrived at the Daily News in 1980 for a job whose status was officially designated as "full-time, temporary." A senior at Penn at the time, he was hired to fill in on the copy desk during a staff illness. The notion of him covering the Eagles or being a columnist did not exist in anyone's imagination. It was supposed to be six weeks and out, but he never left. It is only one of the reasons why so many people have concerns about him as a potential house guest. Rich has blogged the postseasons of the Flyers and Eagles.
