Brewers' Cameron has another adventure

Mike Cameron returns to the team.

Brewers' Cameron has another adventure

Afternoon here before Game 3 in Milwaukee. They just closed the roof at Miller Park on a beautiful afternoon. Tonight will be all about loud.

Early word from the Brewers is that centerfielder Mike Cameron has returned to the team after flying to Atlanta to be with his wife for the birth of their fourth child, a daughter. The birth was by emergency Caesarian section. In the middle of an eventful series for Cameron -- it was the Game 1 fly ball caught in the wind at Citizens Bank Park that befuddled Cameron and provided the Phillies' winning margin -- this was obviously a lot more serious and stressful.

"Everything is fine," Milwaukee manager Dale Sveum said. "He got here this morning. He's ready to go."

I'll be updating all day and night, as will Dave Murphy over at High Cheese.

About this blog
Rich Hofmann arrived at the Daily News in 1980 for a job whose status was officially designated as "full-time, temporary." A senior at Penn at the time, he was hired to fill in on the copy desk during a staff illness. The notion of him covering the Eagles or being a columnist did not exist in anyone's imagination. It was supposed to be six weeks and out, but he never left. It is only one of the reasons why so many people have concerns about him as a potential house guest. Rich has blogged the postseasons of the Flyers and Eagles. E-mail Rich at hofmanr@phillynews.com Reach Rich at hofmanr@phillynews.com.
