Nutter to share stage - or at least the night - with Obama

Mayor Nutter will speak at the Democratic National Convention on Thursday, the same night as the president, according to the Obama campaign. Previous reports had said he would speak Wednesday, but nothing was made official until this afternoon, when word began spreading that the mayor would instead speak Thursday.

Sources close to Nutter did not know the time of his speech. If he was originally scheduled to speak Wednesday, the move to Thursday looks like a promotion. Only party favorites usually share the night with the president.

Since Nutter was re-elected in November, speculation that he would take a job with the Obama administration has been growing. He has repeatedly said he would serve out his second term here. Either way, it looks like the Obama folks have forgiven Nutter for his initial support of Hillary Clinton.

Nutter is a lot better than Fast Eddie. Probably only 1% as corrupt. But a nice honor, for what at least appears to be a genuinely nice man.

Funny...under Nutters watch the city of Philadelphia has turned into a complete & total disaster in every aspect of government....so what do the loonie Dems do??? Give him a spot on the convention stage!!! Brilliant!!! What is Nutter going to talk about?? How to have a failed school system?? How to have high crime and insane murder rates?? maybe how to keep a city totally filthy?? How about how to grossly mismanage taxpayer finances???

I guess the goal of the DNC is to find the 1 "leader" who is a bigger failure than B Hussein O....tough to do, but Nutter just may be the guy!!! Beyond ridiculous...

COMMISSIONER RAMSEY YOU WOULD FIRED A STREET COP IN A SECOND , BUT YOU WILL ALLOW POLICE INSPECTOR HORNE TO ORDER A COVER UP , FALSIFIED POLICE DOCUMENTS , AND TAMPER WITH A CITY COMPUTER , A VIOLATION OF FEDERAL GUIDE LINES IN REPORTING CRIMES ?
