S. Philly rapper releases track for City Council candidate Ori Feibush

A South Philly rapper has released a song in support of City Council candidate Ori Feibush.

First, Councilman Curtis Jones Jr. took the stage at his re-election kickoff party to a song with this catchy hook: "Curtis. Jones. Junior, junior, junior."

Now, City Council candidate Ori Feibush has his own rap song.

Is this sign of a trend? We can only hope.

Feibush's song was released Thursday by South Philly rapper Zaa Geez, who Feibush on Twitter called a "super supporter" of his campaign. The track, titled "215 Rebirth (Vote for Ori)," doesn't mention Feibush's competitor in the contentious Second District race, Councilman Kenyatta Johnson. But it does imply Feibush, a real estate developer who Zaa Geez thinks is "On point like Point Breeze," will be victorious.

"Ori Feibush, he's a champion. / Bout to have Philly winning. / Like Jordan and Scottie Pippen. / The ball in his court now he's dribblin'. / Every time he take a shot he not missing."
