PHA Board chairman John F. Street on Tuesday said the board's five members will meet next week to discuss the federal probe into the agency in the wake of the scandal involving executive director Carl Greene.
The meeting, called "to discuss current agency activities and the board’s investigation," is scheduled for 3 p.m. Sept. 9 at the Board's offices, 12 S. 23rd Street.
The Board suspended Greene on Thursday, with pay, while it conducts an investigation over the next month into four separate sexual harassment cases against Greene. Three were settled for $648,000 and a fourth is proposed for $250,000. The FBI and U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development Inspector General have also opened a criminal investigation.

No doubt meeting to discuss what the federal probe might turn up on themselves. Here's to you all being in prison soon: Cheers! KYS24
Disgraceful. These clowns should be ashamed for being so oblivious. nikki1231
I know everyone has the right to due process and is innocent until proven guilty, but F this guy. dr.anonymous,md

And who is on this Board of Directors??? 1)John Street; 2)Bob Brady's Wife; 3) Controller Alan Butkovitz's wife; 4) Jannie Blackwell; and 5)The Head of the Philly chapter of the AFL-CIO. Do you think this group has the capability of being impartial, apolitical and thorough? Yeah right. philliestew

"Suspended --- with pay" Basically nothing's changed, Green is still sitting around being useless and getting paid for it. Pay to Play. KYS24- Dimbulbs all; the combined wattage of this board couldn't power a nightlight. The hear-no-evil, see-no-evil board is the most disturbing aspect of this scandal.
The board needs to review THEIR charter and discover what THEY are supposed to be doing. It is clear they have been asleep at the wheel, the only question is have they failed in their duties. If the Feds look hard enough I am sure they will find back scratching going on... Pundit
They're going to discuss what they need to shred, and how to hire a shredding contractor who works in the wee morning hours. The good news is they've got no ability to recall all of the information that would have to get destroyed. I predict a tragic fire at PHA, much like the one in Blackwell's office. Didn't City Hall have a series of terrible fires at some point during the last round of probes? CleanupPhilly- Jeff, what do you mean, "in the wake of the scandal"? It's not over yet. So many rocks to turn over; so little time...

My friend used to work at PHA. Carl Green went to great lengths to cover up his misdeeds and ran a reign of terror among his employees with fear of retaliation and termination. The board are strickly volunteer, they get nothing but a bottle of water , in fact they have to pay for parking to attend the meetings. Mr. Green's cover up was intended to keep the Board from knowing anything he did that was improper or illegal. Love2Dance
This board is entangled somehow in this case. I hope the Feds look real hard, that;s not too much too ask. FJG JR
There's so much wrong with how PHA is run, from the federal oversight (too remote) to the state involvement (focused on votes) to the city's management (unable to shake the old school Democratic machine concept of government, quid pro quo, pay to play, skimming off the top and paying the lawyers and the party). This is not normal in the rest of the country, except where you also see vast tracts of the result of taxpayer funded neglect and blight.
