Kenney to hold fundraiser during DNC

Mayor Kenney will hold a fundraiser during the Democratic National Convention at Popi's Italian Restaurant in South Philadelphia.

The $500 ticket event is slated for Wednesday, July 27, according to an emailed invitation.

Headliners and special guests are still to be determined, as is a host committee.

But the event will feature live music, dancing, auctions, catering and unlimited beverages from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

The restaurant is less than a mile from FDR Park and the stadiums.

Fundraisers during conventions are common given the many high profile politicians and big-time donors who will be in Philadelphia.

Kenney's is one of dozens of fundraisers and parties being held in the city during the week.
