Latest figures show registered Democrats in Philadelphia outnumber Republicans by roughly 6.7 to 1.

Democrats maintain voter registration lead


Democrats  continue to outnumber Republicans in Philadelphia by better than 6-to-1, according to the final voter registration figures for next week’s general election.

The official counts are 803,769 Democrats and 119,643 Republicans, with both party totals down slightly from those registered for the May primary election. The ratio between Democrats and Republicans was nearly 6.72 to 1, up from 6.70 last spring.

The city has 6,533 voters registered as independents and 94,378 in other parties, both figures up since May.
