Committee of Seventy wades into BRT fight

The Committee of Seventy waded into the the BRT's fight with the Nutter administration today, calling on city voters to approve a May ballot measure that would abolish the agency. The non-partisan watchdog group also announced that it was considering joining the city in its opposition to a suit filed by the BRT against Mayor Nutter and City Council last month.

"This lawsuit by the BRT is completely within character," Committee of Seventy CEO and Executive Director Zack Stalberg said. "The Board is wasting taxpayers' money and simultaneously trying to do them harm. And, to make matters worse, these officials won't even come clean and explain their actions."
