Turkey Burgers
Ingredients:
1 lb. ground turkey breast
1 egg
½ small onion, diced
1 tsp. olive oil
3 tbsp. grated reduced fat parmesan cheese
1 tsp. ground dried oregano
1 tsp. dried basil
1 garlic clove, minced
¼ tsp. ground black pepper
Directions:
1. Preheat a skillet to medium-low heat, add the olive oil and the diced onion. Saute for 2-3 minutes until softened but not browned.
2. In a small mixing bowl, combine the ground turkey breast and egg and mix together by hand. Add the parmesan cheese, oregano, basil, garlic, pepper, and sautéed onions and mix well.
3. Shape into 5 evenly sized burgers.
4. Cook the burgers on a medium to high heat grill, about 12-15 minutes, flipping over once.
Serving size: Makes 5 burgers
