Healthy family recipe: Savory granola

Try this twist on a breakfast staple.

For a meal that everyone agrees is The Most Important, breakfast doesn't always get the respect it deserves.  It's early, it's rushed, and frankly it can be a bit boring.  Since January is National Oatmeal Month this is the perfect time to jazz up your morning.  This savory granola recipe is a great way to get kids involved in the kitchen. It features heart-healthy oats and omega-3 rich nuts, and reinvents the crunchy breakfast staple. You can eat it later in the day on top of a salad or soup at lunch or dinner. After all, they are important too.
