Fred & Friends recalls 200,000 infant pacifiers

Fred & Friends recalled about 200,000 Chill Baby Artiste, Volume and Panic pacifiers in the United States and Canada because they fail to meet federal safety standards. The beard on the Artiste and the knob on the Volume pacifiers can detach, posing a choking hazard to young children. In addition, the ventilation holes on the Volume and Panic pacifier guards are too small.

The Artiste has a black plastic beard and mustache, Volume has a black volume control knob  and Panic has a red panic button.

The company has received one report of the knob on the Volume pacifier detaching. No injuries have been reported.  For more information, go to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission website.
