Last year St. Joseph’s was the first team to beat Creighton but this season Boise State beat the Hawks to the punch.

When St. Joseph’s visits Creighton on Saturday, it will be a battle between highly regarded teams with one loss.

Creighton was 6-0 before losing Wednesday, 83-70 at home to Boise State.
Last season Creighton took a 7-0 record into Hagan Arena before losing to St. Joseph’s 80-71.

Despite the fact that Creighton isn’t undefeated, the Bluejays are ranked No. 11 in the country and the Hawks are looking forward to the matchup.

“It should be a real good game, real close and fun,” said Hawks guard Carl Jones, who scored 16 points in Wednesday’s 74-55 win against visiting American University while making his first start of the season.
