Coming off its first home loss of the season, Saint Joseph’s (11-5, 1-1 A-10) welcomes Fordham (7-8, 0-2) to Hagan Arena on Wednesday night as the Hawks look to contend for a top seed in the conference tournament in March. The Hawks, whose 11 wins equal their total of last season (including their improbable A-10 tournament run), visit Massachusetts on Saturday. This is the Hawks’ best record through 16 games since the 2007-08 Hawks went 11-5. That team finished with a 21-13 record and earned an NCAA at-large bid.
Sophomore forward C.J. Aiken enters the game second in the country in blocked shots per game (4.4), and Carl Jones, a junior guard, leads the conference in scoring at 18.4 points per game.
