St. Joseph’s men’s basketball team will open play in the Old Spice Classic on Thanksgiving, Nov. 28 against LSU. The 8:30 p.m. game will be televised by ESPN2.

Hawks open with LSU in Old Spice Classic

St. Joseph’s men’s basketball team will open play in the Old Spice Classic on Thanksgiving, Nov. 28 against LSU. The 8:30 p.m. game will be televised by ESPN2.

The Old Spice Classic will be staged at the HP Field House at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex near Orlando, Florida.

St. Joseph’s second round game will be Nov. 29 against either the winner of the first round game between Memphis and Siena.

The other teams in the tournament are Butler, Purdue, Oklahoma State and Washington State. Oklahoma State, is led by point guard Marcus Smart, among the top returning players in college basketball.

The tournament championship game will take place Sunday, Dec. 1 at 7:30 p.m.

Coming off an 18-14 season in which they earned a second successive NIT appearance, the Hawks will head to Italy for a trip from Aug. 11 to 21. St. Joseph's will play five games while visiting Rome, Florence, Venice and Lake Como.
