St. Joseph’s senior guard Carl Jones has been named Big Five Player of the Week for the second time this season.

Jones scored a team-high 19 points in the Hawks 66-62 win at Fordham on Wednesday and added 16 points in Saturday’s 70-69 victory over Temple.  During the Fordham win, he went 7 for 8 from the foul line in the final minute.

In the Temple win, Jones hit two big three point field goals and made a driving layup  to help the Hawks erase a nine-point deficit with under six minutes remaining.

Jones is averaging a team-high 15.1 points per game. During the Hawks current three-game win streak he is averaging 16.6 points.
