The details on Miley's engagement ring

19-year-old Miley Cyrus is engaged to her beau of three years, 22-year-old Liam Hemsworth.

Prior to his proposal on May 31st, Hemsworth approached celebrity jeweler Neil Lane for “something really beautiful and romantic,” reports People StyleWatch. Lane tells the source that the 3.5-carat ring is cushion-cut, paved in 18-karat gold and carved with "diamond floral motifs in an art nouveau pattern."

The couple who met on the set of the movie "The Last Song" in 2009 announced their engagement Wednesday morning. Publicist Jeff Raymond confirms a People Magazine report of the news. However, the center stone is the most special part of the ring because it's an antique diamond that dates back to the late 1800s. Lane explains that the stone still remains in its original form. "It’s a contemporary design based on vintage aesthetics," says Lane on the ring as a whole.

So sweet. Congrats to these lovebirds!
