The color has been a popular selection for actresses at the 68th annual Venice Film Festival, and has been spotted on numerous stars, from Keira Knightley to style-setter Diane Kruger.
Here's the crème de la crème. Literally.
Paltrow, pretty in Prada
It comes as no surprise that "Contagion" star Gwyneth Paltrow sashayed her way in front of photographers in a gorgeous Prada gown. What particularly stood out on this otherwise mundane number is the bow that covers the nape of Paltrow's neck.

Diane Kruger in Elie Saab
Diane Kruger typically styles herself for various events. It's no suprise that she came out out on top in this bejeweled Elie Saab gown for the premiere of "The Ides of March."

Jessica Chastain, also in Elie Saab Couture
The thirty year old star of "Wilde Salome" promoted her new film in this plunging back gown. Chastain, who has had a monumental year, paired her draping dress with diamonds and bright red lips.

Keira Knightley
The British beauty arrived at the premiere of A Dangerous Method in a gown designed by Mary Katrantzou. Knightley's ensemble channels her previous roles in films like Pride & Prejudice and Atonement.
