Model breaks Adam Levine's stereo heart

It was a match made in music and modeling heaven.

It was a match made in music and modeling heaven.

Unfortunately, after the Seal-Heidi Klum split, we began to question the longevity of relationships involving two high-profile individuals. Last week, Us Weekly confirmed that Victoria's Secret Angel Anne Vyalitsyna and Maroon 5 front man Adam Levine had split after their two-year relationship.

However, sources now tell the publication that the singer was "blindsided" by Anne V's public proclamation, adding that Levine is in fact, "heartbroken."

If the artist's twitter feed indicates any form of wallowing in self-pity, forget it. The day after the statement was released, @ADAMLEVINE tweeted, "I'd just like to thank people who support us for this incredible dream life." Late Monday evening, he posted a photo with the caption, "shaved my dog."

Social media front aside, we briefly recount happier days of the songbird and his SI swimsuit model ex. Sparks flew when Levine and Anne V first met at a 2010 Sports Illustrated party where Maroon 5 performed. After a blissful year of dating, Levine had Anne V star in his "Never Gonna Leave This Bed" music video, where the two tussled on a number of beds in L.A.

Later that year, Adam serenaded the Russian model down the Victoria's Secret fashion show runway in New York City. (Starting to sense a pattern here...) The following month, they posed nude together on the cover of Vogue Russia.

The source claims that it was a "cheap shot" from Anne V in an attempt to protect her own reputation. Whatever the reasons, we hope Adam at least scores a few No. 1 hits out of his current state of "Misery."
