It's been several years since MTV's "The Hills" and "The City" went off air, but Whitney Port continues to prove that her interests in fashion and clothing design are not exclusive to her reality-TV show days.
On Thursday, the 27-year-old star, designer and author attended a garden tea party at Apricot Lane Boutique in Suburban Square in Ardmore.
This was Port's very first visit to Philadelphia, as she was in town to promote the launch of her new, budget-friendly fashion line, WE by Whitney Eve, which combines signature styles from her original Whitney Eve collection with a more modern appeal. WE by Whitney Eve will only be sold at 30 locations across the U.S., starting exclusively with Apricot Lane. If you're far-removed from a boutique location, visit the website.
Port was dressed in a printed shirt paired beneath a relaxed, off-white blazer from her WE Collection, black skinny jeans and studded Giuseppe Zanotti heels. In typical California girl fashion, Port let her subtle, ombre locks tumble loose.
This is what the scene looked like at Apricot Lane: Port was greeted by a line of girls- some on the verge of fandemonium breakdowns- as each patiently waited her turn to meet Port. Always the sweetheart, the designer interacted with all of the attendees, taking pictures and providing a style consultation for the local winner of the store's facebook contest. (An added bonus for guests was that the cupcake truck was parked right outside of the boutique.)
"Whitney was so wonderful to all of our guests and made this event extra special just with her personality and style advice alone, said Ashley Seiden, co-owner of Apricot Lane along with her mom Teresa Macchia.
We're told that prior to the event, Whitney stopped by the Joseph Anthony Retreat Spa and Salon in Glen Mills where owner Joe Gaglioti treated Port and her father to spa services. It seems that Port enjoyed her time at the spa because she couldn't stop raving about it when guests complimented her polish color later that evening. The two also enjoyed lunch at the spa, which Harvest Seasonal Gill & Wine Bar's Dana Farrell brought in for the Ports.
On her overall experience in town, Whitney said, "This is my first time in Philadelphia and I had an amazing time."
Well we're happy she enjoyed her stay. Meanwhile, view photos of Whitney's appearance in addition to her key fashion moments in the past, below.
