With 13 million copies sold so far in the U.S. and film rights already secured by Universal Pictures, it was only a matter of time before Fifty Shades of Grey the brand emerged.

On Tuesday, independent licensing agency Caroline Mickler Limited was announced as the appointed master licensing agent for Fifty Shades of Grey™. Given the immense popularity of the S&M series by EL James, the release notes, "The market's interest in Fifty Shades of Grey as a brand is enormous" and the products are almost guaranteed to be a hit.

Mickler, who is currently meeting with potential licensees in Vegas at the Licensing Expo says, "With continuing book sales and a film version keeping awareness high, we expect this property to make a very strong showing in a number of licensed categories over the coming months."

The categories include lingerie, sleepwear, apparel, fragrances, beauty products, bedding, home furnishings, stationary, jewelry and of course, adult products. The main demo is said to be adult women, but the agency is looking to lure male and female gift buyers.
