Diane Kruger, one to watch at Cannes

Diane Kruger is far ahead of the fashion flock of stars set to make red carpet appearances at the 65th Cannes Film Festival. Here's why:

On Wednesday, also the first day of the festival, Kruger wore two different outfits. To an earlier photo call that day, she donned a chic, cut-out pleated dress by Versus by Versace. However, it was her style selection later that evening that moved us to dedicate an entire post to the jury member. Kruger stunned in a silk, sea-foam green Giambattista Valli gown at the premiere of Moonrise Kingdom.

One might argue that equally as breathtaking was Eva Longoria who selected an over-the-top, dramatic Marchesa gown with a long ruffled train. It truly was a remarkable choice for the star who just said her goodbyes to Wisteria Lane with the finale of Desperate Housewives.

As much as we appreciate Longoria in her gorgeous gown, we believe that Kruger's poise and ability to take true fashion risks on the red carpet always leads us to support her whole-heartedly. What are your thoughts?
