As the winner of the award, the Parisian-born Altuzarra not only pockets $300,000, but will be mentored by a key designer in the fashion industry. Judges included Diane von Furstenberg and Steven Kolb (of CFDA), Anna Wintour (of Vogue), Jenna Lyons (of J.Crew), and Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez (of Proenza Schouler).

Runners-up included Pamela Love (of Pamela Love Jewelry), and Shane Gabier and Chris Peters (of Creatures of the Wind). Each company will receive $100,000 and also be paired in mentorship programs. View the complete list of finalists, here.

Guests who attended the gala included everyone from Theory designer Olivier Theyskens to LaLa and Carmelo Anthony to musician Joe Jonas. Eclectic crowd, if you ask us.

Congrats, Joseph!
