Toomey campaign says it raised $2.3 million in Q1

Pat Toomey, the likely Republican nominee for Senate from Pennsylvania, raised $2.3 million in the first three months of the year and had $4 million in the bank, his campaign announced today.

It was the campaign's most successful fundraising quarter yet, and Toomey has raised more cash than any Senate challenger in the nation.

Sen. Arlen Specter and Rep. Joe Sestak, competiting in the Democratic primary, have not yet released their fundraising totals for the first quarter.
