Onorato: I'm in the money

Down in the polls and trailing at last word in the money race, Democratic gubernatorial candidate Dan Onorato wants the political class in Pennsylvania to know that he's working his hardest to catch up.

The Allegheny County executive said Wednesday that he has raised $1 million in the last month -- and a total of $2.5 million since the May 18 primary, in which he was forced to spend the bulk of his war chest to fend off three party challengers.

In an official report filed last month, Onorato said he had about $1 million in the bank. At the same juncture, Republican nominee Tom Corbett, the state attorney general, had $3.36 million.
