NRA Prez warns Pa. Capitol crowd about "enemies of freedom"

Calling them the “direct philosophical decedents” of the framers of the Constitution,
NRA President John C. Sigler this morning urged several hundred gun supporters to continue fighting efforts to restrict their rights.

“The enemies of freedom are not giving up,” he told the crowd who gathered at the state Capitol for the fourth annual “Right to Keep and Bear Arms” rally.

Sigler said supporters of the Second Amendment should lobby against bills in Harrisburg that would, among other things, limit the number of handguns a person can buy to one a month.

“Once they limit you to one, they can limit you to none,” he said, calling the proposal long backed by Gov. Rendell an effort to “ration a Constitutional right.”
