New Jersey Gov. Christie, whose cost-cutting mantra has made him a rock-star in some Republican circles, will cross the state line to help fellow Republican Patrick Meehan in his bid for Congress in Pennsylvania’s Seventh District. The New Jersey governor will headline a fundraiser for Meehan at the Springfield Country Club on Sept. 20 at 6 p.m.

Christie, who defeated Democratic incumbent Jon S. Corzine last year, is in high demand for campaign appearances nationwide. This is the second time he’s come to help Meehan, who is running to replace U.S. Rep. Joe Sestak. Meehan, a former Delaware County District Attorney and U.S. Attorney, faces Democratic State Rep. Bryan Lentz.

The district, which includes nearly all of Delaware County and pieces of Montgomery and Chester Counties, is considered one of the most competitive races this year.

Shouldn't Gov Christy focus on the SEVERE problems in his state than running off to a campaign for another State . Or as his staff always quotes "It's not on his agenda!" Boy did I make a wrong choice last November but not again !!!!!!!!!!

well..they were both US Attorneys that survived the Karl rove purge because they followed roves rules and only attacked democrats..neither is particularly impressive as a public figure or an inspirational person. will be sweet when Meehan loses because it will show that christies endorsement is worthless.
