A Chester County couple named to the Corbett cabinet.

Gov.-elect Tom Corbett has named Chester County real estate lawyer Stephen Aichele as his general counsel.

Aichele, 62, of Tredyffrin, is the husband of Carol Aichele, the newly-appointed Commonwealth Secretary. Stephen Aichele is chairman of Saul Ewing LLP and also teaches law at Temple University. He will make $149,000 in his new job.

Corbett also named Barry Schoch, a vice president at a Harrisburg-area transportation contracting firm, as the new PennDot secretary.

Schoch, is transporation engineering manager at McCormick Taylor, Inc., of Camp Hill, where he is involved in the company's major transportation projects in the Mid-Atlantic Region. The PennDot secretary's salary is $142,000.

The transportation secretary position requires Senate confirmation, the general counsel position does not.
