Pennsylvania, the porn-posting state

A report by the Huffington Post says Pennsylvania posts more porn than all but one other state.

Pennsylvania, the porn-posting state

You know how state rankings and national surveys on stuff like economic development, job growh, great public schools and excellent quality of life usually find Pennsylvania way down the list?

Well, there's now evidence that maybe the state's been focused on other things.

A friend just sent me a recent item from the Huffington Post that says Pennsylvanians post more porn to an amateur porn website than all but one other state, California.

Now California I can understand. But Pennsylvania? Really?

Apparently so. The report says that while 20.6 percent of the, um, home movies on the website Homegrown Video comes from the Golden State, the only other double-digit contributor is the home of the Quakers, the home of the Amish, the good old socially-conservative Keystone State.

Yep, Pennsylvania comes in second with 11.8 percent of the porn contributions.

I'd note that California has more than three times Pennsylvania's population so it seems we're providing far more porn than our share.

Other fun-finds in the Huffington piece: 56.9 percent of posted sex stuff came from women; and a lot of it came from family-values, bible belt, red states.

So, depending on you personal predilections, you might now have something to make you Pennsylvania proud.
