Corbett Theme Song?

Gov. Corbett's taking national heat for his "close your eyes" comment regarding ultrasounds for women seeking abortions; maybe a theme song?

Corbett Theme Song?

And in the category of "ya-never-know-what'll-circle-around-and-bite-you-in-the-ass" comes unwantd national attention for Gov. Corbett.

The Guv's brief comment this week suggesting a proposed state law requiring a woman seeking an abortion to first view an ultrasound isn't all that bad since "you just have to close your eyes" went viral on the Internet and drew significant attention from the likes of MSNBC and The Huffington Post.

You can read about it and watch a clip of the Guv's comments on my colleague Amy Worden's blog here.

My thought, as the Guv leaves Saturday for a trade trip to Germany and France is a new theme song. I'm thinking of something with apologies to The Beatles 1963 hit "All My Loving."

Here are the actual lyrics (and you can see a video of a performance).

And here are my suggested lyrics to a rip-off version, "All My Wanding."

Close your eyes and I’ll wand you.

Tomorrow it’s adieu

Remember, lawmakers run the show.

And then while I’m away

I’ll think of you everyday

And I’ll send all my wanding to you.

I’ll pretend that I’m kissing

Right-wingers I’ll be missing

And hope all our schemes do come true.

We’ll push guns and less spending

Abortions, we’ll be ending

Cuz we’ll send all our wanding to you.

All our wanding

All our wanding….oooo

All our wanding, we will send to you.
