Who wants yesterday's paper? Who wants yesterday's news?

A bunch of fashion designers, that's who. Last night, four of them unveiled designs made from recycled newspaper. There was a little cocktail dress, a swing coat, a gown ...

The items are being auctioned off, with the proceeds going to green nonprofits, including Trees for the Future, Riverkeeper, The Land Connection and Kiva. Consumers can visit www.dogooderchallenge.com for bidding information.

The was part of the "Do-Gooder Design Challenge" sponsored by Yesterday's News, a brand of cat litter that incorporates, yes, recycled newspapers.
