Enviro Fair Saturday in Delco

What better way to work up to Earth Day than to attend an Enviro Fair?

This event in Delaware County has been growing year by year. This year, for the fourth fair, the theme is “Your Green Home.”

It’s being held Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Penn Wood High School, 100 Green Ave., Landsdowne.

Among the things visitors can do:

  • Shred up to three boxes of personal papers
  • Drop off personal computers and peripherals for recycling
  • See a Tesla
  • Learn about sustainability activities at local houses of worship
  • Sign up for a sibsidized home energy audit with the Energy Coordinating Agency
  • Purchase carbon credits to offset travel
  • Children can plant seeds and join a scavenger hunt

The event is being hosted by the Earth Care Council and aFewSteps.org

 Exhibitors include a cotton diaper service, a roof coating business, a composting business, the BIcycle Coalition of Greater Philadephia, Chester County Citizens for Climate Protection, the Clean Air Council, an ionsulatino company, an organic lawn care company, the Sierra Club, Tyler Arboretum and a vermicomposting group.
