Another chunk of metal that fell from the sky has turned out to have come from a woodchipper, not outer space.

“Mystery solved,” Police Sergeant Gil Cerda said in reporting that a machine reducing a nearby tree to mulch was the source of the metal chunk that bombarded a home in Dallas.

Ever since Feb. 15, when two satellites collided over Siberia, suspicion has fallen on space junk whenever a piece of metal mysteriously lands somewhere and is found to not have come from an airplane.
