Two Pa. Republicans to announce in key races

Two well-known Republicans are expected to announce today that they will seek their party's nominations in a pair of key races in Pennsylvania next year.

Attorney General Tom Corbett, who was re-elected to a second four-year term last year, has scheduled a news conference tonight to announce he will seeks his party's nomination for governor. The 60-year-old former U.S. Attorney for Western Pennsylvania is expected to face Congressman Jim Gerlach of Southeastern Pennsylvania in the May 18 primary.

Also today, former Patrick Meehan, the former U.S. Attorney for Eastern Pennsylvania, is expected to announce he is entering the race for Rep. Joe Sestak's seat. Sestak is challenging Sen. Arlen Specter in the Democratic primary.
