Springsteen "rehearsal" tix go on sale at noon

Tickets to see Bruce Springsteen and the E Street band perform rehearsal shows next week at Asbury Park's Convention Centet will go on sale at noon today.

The Associated Press reports:

Tickets to see Bruce Springsteen and the E Street band perform rehearsal shows next week at Asbury Park's Convention Center will go on sale at noon today.

They'll perform at Asbury Park's Convention Hall on Monday and Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. before launching their "Working on a Dream" tour April 1.

Springsteen and the band have been rehearsing for the past two weeks.

Tickets are $100 each and will be available through Ticketmaster phone charge only. There is a two-ticket limit per person.

Also, on March 31, fans who complained about Tickmaster's online sale for concerts in New Jersey will get a second chance. Under a settlement with the ticket agency, a random drawing will be held for 1,861 people to buy a pair of tickets for either the May 21 or May 23 show at the Izod Center.

Those who aren't chosen will get a $100 Ticketmaster gift certificate and a chance to buy two tickets to a future Springsteen concert in the Garden State.

Ticketmaster's Web site had directed buyers to a subsidiary that charged up to 50 times the face value. Customers and The Boss himself expressed outrage.

Under the settlement, Ticketmaster agreed to change its online sales process.
