Glazed roads in Chester County this morning made for treacherous driving.

On Route 926 in Kennett, traffic is backed up for several miles from Creek Road to Longwood Gardens.

On Unionville-Lenape Road, two vehicles – an SUV and a Honda Accord -- plunged into a ditch. Nearby a pickup truck crashed head-on into a tree.

UPDATE:

Roads were still clogged at 10:30 a.m. in some areas, reports reporter Nancy Petersen. Consider the traffic at Boot Road and Pottstown Pike – Route 100 - in West Whiteland, just south of Exton. The traffic is “backed up in all directions” at the interesection Petersen reports.

She said it had taken her an hour to travel 10 miles from West Vincent to the Boot Road intersection.
