Inquirer staff report:

Seven Philadelphia students are being honored today for their work with their schools’ safety patrols.

Each is receiving a $150 U.S. savings bond and a plaque in recognition of his or her achievement.

Those honored by AAA Mid-Atlantic, which  sponsors the Safety Patrol program, are:

Christopher Berry, an 8th grader at St. Nicholas of Tolentine;

Nathan Bunyon, a 6th grader at Overbrook Educational Center;

Erin Crowley, a 6th grader at St. Laurentius School;

Michael Milek, an 8th grader at St. Peter the Apostle;

Gladys T. Montañez, a 6th grader at Julia de Burgos Elementary School;

Yesinel Paulino, a 4th grader at Lewis Elkin Elementary School;

Ahdiyah Robey, a 5th grader at Conwell Middle Magnet School.
