greedy pigs get back to work
Just like the police, firefighters, and paramedics can't strike, transit workers shouldn't be allowed to either. Just like the others, they are a government worker that provides an irreplaceable service paramount to the proper functioning of society. Around the country, other major cities have regulations in place to protect the rights of the public by not allowing mass transit to stop running. This union needs to be broken and the rules of the game rewritten, for the benefit of all philadelphians. 5000 workers should not have the right to cripple a metropolis of 3 million.
The misplaced sense of entitlement of the Septa union is outrageous. The legislature should immediately pass a law that oulaws strikes by the Septa union. Breaking this law should result in dismissal and fines to the union.
