Philly cops bust million $ heroin ring

Police yesterday smashed a million-dollar heroin ring based in Northeast Philadelphia. Narcotics officers raided a house on the 1400 block of Alcott Street in the Oxford Circle section. Inside they discovered almost eight pounds of heroin, weapons and a drug packaging operation inside. Three unidentified men were arrested. The ring allegedly supplied dealers across North Philadelphia and Kensington, police said. In addition, NBC10 said police found about 4 kilos of heroin, two guns, drug scales and presses, which would be used to shape the drugs into bricks.
