We here at the "Source" blog hope Mayor Nutter is not on a diet, because he is due to receive a very high-end  - and no doubt very high-fat - cheesecake from his NYC counterpart.

As the New York Times reported last week, Nutter and his counterpart up north, Mayor Bloomberg, placed a bet on the outcome of Sunday's Eagles-Giants game:

"If the Giants win, Mayor Nutter will send a sampling of five cheese steaks from popular shops across Philadelphia. If the Eagles are triumphant, Mayor Bloomberg will send a giant New York-style cheesecake from the Carnegie Deli in Manhattan."

Time to pay up, Mayor Bloomberg!

The famed deli sells three sizes, starting at 6-inches in diameter and maxing out with a 12-inch, 11.25 pound offering that sells for only $44.95 (plus shipping).

We trust New York, wanting to be gracious in the face of defeat, will forthwith send the giant size to our mayor .

FedEx, Bloomberg?

With all the cutting in spending it is nice to see that the Mayor didn't cut his gambling - who would have paid for these cheese steaks and shipping had the Eagles lost?

Probably another library would have closed to cover the shipping if it went via UPS

Dude, it's $45. Get over it. Fun fact though: that's what Latrice Bryant makes in an hour.

Exactly...$45, all these people should be blaming Street not Nutter.
