One of two dead in N. Philly shooting identified
Inquirer staff writer Sam Wood reports:
Police this morning identified one of two victims killed in a double shooting yesterday afternoon in North Philadelphia.
Ernest Miller, 41, was found by police at 4:08 p.m. in the vestibule of his home on the 2600 block of West Oakdale Street. Miller had been shot once in the chest. Another man, 38, was found bleeding to death in front of Miller’s house, police said.
Miller was taken to Temple University Medical Center where he was pronounced dead at 4:40 p.m.
The other man, who has not been identified pending notification of his family, died at 7 p.m., police said.
