Inquirer staff report:

A preliminary hearing for a woman charged with assisting a team of killers sought in the shooting deaths of two people in an upscale Northern Liberties apartment building is not expected to take place as scheduled today.

Katoya Jones, 25, is charged with murder, conspiracy and related crimes in the June 27 killings of party planner Rian Thal and suspected drug courier Timothy Gilmore in the Piazza at Schmidts.

Police believe Jones’ drug-dealer boyfriend was behind the plot and are looking for him.

Police said Jones, who lives five floors down from Thal's seventh-floor apartment in the Piazza's Navona building in Northern Liberties, let three gunmen and the lookout man into the lobby about a half-hour before the killings.

The District Attorney’s Office says Jones’ preliminary hearing, which was scheduled for today, will be continued.

They don't really have much on her. The video doesn't even show her talking to the guy. Also the guy followed her thru a door that was propped open. A flower delivery guy also walked thru. If the Jones girl decides to keep her mouth shut, the cops have very little. Rian Thal was a high level dealer selling kilos of coke. She was involved in a dangerous occupation.
