Mother to son: Go for it!

Theresa Gallo, her husband Vince, and their 13-year-old son Nicholas, stood in the stands directly behind home plate as Philly after Philly spoke from the heart and took a bow.

The Washington Township, N.J., family are baseball fanatics. Nicholas has even played with his youth league team at the baseball hall of fame in Cooperstown, N.Y. Theresa, a school lunch monitor, was born in South Philadelphia and rooted for the Fightin' Phils her whole life.

As the team took a final lap on foot around the field, the Gallos pressed closer for a better look at the boys of summer turned men of the moment.

Nicholas, who aspires to be a professional ball player, was in speechless awe.

"You never know. I never burst the bubble. If that's what you want to do, go for it, baby," said his mother as the closing fireworks burst forth in centerfield and red and white confetti filled the sky."
