Man shot dead in car in North Philly

Inquirer staff writer Barbara Boyer reports:

Philadelphia police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man found slumped behind the wheel of a car early this morning in the Logan section of the city.

The victim, a 28-year-old male, was found in a Chevrolet Cobalt in the 5000 block of North Camac Street, police said. He had been shot in the right shoulder and was pronounced dead at the scene at 7:37 a.m.

Authorities did not immediately release the victim’s name. Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call homicide detectives at 215-686-3334.
