Man hit by car, killed in Tacony
A pedestrian was struck and killed last night while crossing a street near Disston Park in the Tacony section of Philadelphia, police say.

A pedestrian was struck and killed last night while crossing a street near Disston Park in the Tacony section of Philadelphia, police say.
Police said the 48-year-old man was hit by a car abouty 11:30 p.m. as he stepped into the intersection of Magee Avenue and New State Road.
He was taken to Frankford Hospital-Torresdale, where he was pronounced dead.
The driver stopped at the scene and police said no charges are pending.
