Man, 22, slain in car in S.W. Phila.

A 22-year-old man was killed in a shooting last night in Southwest Philadelphia, police said today.

The man was found around 11:30 p.m. in the driver’s seat of a black Chevrolet station wagon on the 2700 block of S. 54th Street. He was shot in the head and chest, police said, and pronounced dead on the scene.

 The victim’s name has not yet been released, pending the notification of his family, but police said it does not appear he is from the area.

Police arrived at the scene after someone reported hearing gunshots.
