Gunman shoots man, barricades self in house in E. Germantown

Inquirer staff writer Troy Graham reports:

A gunman shot and critically wounded a man sitting in a minivan this morning before barricading himself in a house on the 800 block of Stafford Street in East Germantown, police said.

A standoff is underway with a SWAT team at the scene.

The victim, who was sitting in the passenger seat, was hit in the chest. The driver took the victim to Germantown Hospital from which he was transferred to Albert Einstein Medical Center in critical condition, police said.

Peacemaker..if they were searching for him it would indeed make a difference..MeNuggets suggesting race doesn't matter IS foolish and perhaps, self-serving..i.e. "they don't know what race I am, so they can't discern who I am". The fact the assailant barricaded himself in an exact location makes their race inconsequential not irrelevant.

If most the commenters hadn't been educated by comic books, television and movies we would not spend time with ignoramuses trying to be sarcastic or cynical. Whatever 'race' or mixed race you currently subscribe; your recent history will explain and depict that you were in the same boat as the people in this article. Just simply as yourself; why your ancestors came here and how did they live? Simply answered is that poverty and lack of better produce these events. Look at having a safe guarded life has generated..ignoramuses like the cynics who find themselves on every posting involving something they want to depict with racial implications.
