Staff photographer Clem Murray reports:

It’s “fill'r up” time this morning at Kelly Pool in Fairmount Park next to the Please Touch Museum.

The city pool, along with seven others, will open today, which also is the last day of school for Philadelphia public schools.

Among those who will be making a splash later today into the 50-meter pool, the city's largest, will be Mayor Nutter.

Because of the city’s budget problems, 63 of the city’s 73 pools were to be closed this summer.

But 46 will open after Nutter restored some funding and private donors anted up nearly $430,000.
