Fatal shooting in Northeast Philadelphia

Inquirer staff writer Brittany Talarico reports:

A 20-year-old man was shot around 11 p.m. last night outside his home on the 5500 block of Torresdale Avenue in Northeast Philadelphia.

Police found Khalid Trice lying in the street with multiple gun shot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene at 11:06 p.m., according to Philadelphia Police Officer Christine O'Brien.

A 30-year-old male who was shot on the 2300 block of south 65th Street early yesterday morning has been identified as Kosai Barouki from the 6400 block of Grays Avenue, O'Brien said this morning.

Barouki was killed as he returned home at 1:47 a.m. Sunday, she said. He was pronounced dead at 2:08 a.m. at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.

Police are continuing their investigations of the two homicides and no arrests have been made in either shooting at this time.
